Developmental Skills In Personal And Interpersonal Connections
What are developmental skills? Developmental skills are an entire structure of human qualities that make up our personality, behaviors, habits, thought processes and so forth. By understanding what developmental skills are you can work toward developing personal and interpersonal skills.Our skills include the ability to meditate, talk to self, process information, and all of it makes up a wide array of structures, such as self-awareness and so forth.
We must build all skills and abilities to create a whole person. Some of the effective measures we can use to develop personal and interpersonal skills is through meditation and self-talk.
We must also work through inner polarities, which is our central awareness of the activities and growing stages. During this process we must confront significant views that oppose aspects in our personality. In this instance, the more we completely address each of the aspects or else poles of the stressors that cause stress and experience and dramatize them fully, only then can we find resolves likely.
We must learn to observe the conflicts within us whether these conflicts start out latently or emerge to increase the power of our thoughts. These thoughts include our sensations, feelings, and our bodily functions that associate with our past. We want to force past traumas or other stressors to the surface and address them head on to build one of our developmental skills, thus awareness.
Once we move the polarities or splits to awareness our mind will expand and the stress will gradually produce pain, yet it will stretch to the point we lose control. What occur in this instance are the processes of 'indicative' 'implosive layers' of the entities personality. At this point it is essential to precondition in order to move toward the processes of forming Gestalt.
During the Gestalt processes we must work toward integration. This process helps us to assimilate. The goal is to bring self in harmony to reform divisions of our personality.
We address any conflicts during these procedures, which moves us to core rudiments. At this stage, we work toward resolution. As well we begin to address the conflicts within us. The process results to critical restructuring of our own thoughts, behaviors and habits. Our perceptions are rehabilitated and the problems are addressed at the same time we are developing human skills that works us toward becoming a whole entity.
By integrating the parts of our being we can work toward self-awareness, which ultimately brings forth self-contentment. You will likely feel drained after your sessions, yet the more effort you apply the more you return you receive and ultimately you will feel at ease.
This process becomes dangerous to those that have severe traumatic histories, so be sure that you work close with a qualified counselor before starting this process on your own.
You want to seek professional advice before practicing these processes even if you do not suffer any trauma. Only those that have mastered a large volume of development can successfully master the Gestalt practices. Still, these people must stay alert to what they are doing.
During the processes of integration we continue to develop our experiences from our life-sustaining forces, i.e. our energy or metabolic system that produces stamina. We must realize that at any time is there; an end to the processes of Gestalt, or integration of the personality, rather there is only progress that continues with practice. Our goal is to identify with our own conflicts that hinder us from achieving success. We want to develop awareness of these conflicts in an effort to abandon old behaviors, habits and flaws in our personality.
